Mercedes-Benz 380 SL
W107 series · Classic car hire at Schloss Gültz
Cruise in the legendary Mercedes-Benz roadster through the Mecklenburg Lake District, across the islands of Rügen and Usedom to the Baltic coast – an unforgettable experience against a historic backdrop.
An automobile with character
The Mercedes-Benz 380 SL (W107) is one of the most elegant roadsters ever to leave Stuttgart. With its effortless V8 engine, timelessly beautiful design and comfortable suspension, it embodies motoring culture at its finest. Our car has been lovingly restored and is registered with historic H plates.
A piece of motoring history
In spring 1971 Mercedes-Benz unveiled the SL of the R107 series – the third SL generation. Unlike its predecessor, the W113 “Pagoda” built from 1963, whose rounded forms still hinted at the opulence of post-war design, the R107 was distinctly more sober and angular, and thus shaped the Mercedes design language of the 1970s. It was built in Sindelfingen for a remarkable 18 years – by 1989 a total of 237,287 cars had left the factory.
Technically, too, the W107 was ahead of its time: defined crumple zones, a sturdy A-pillar and an interior that put occupant protection first. The 380 SL came onto the market as a new model in 1980 – with a 3.8-litre light-alloy V8 engine (M116) and 218 hp, it replaced the 350 SL. The US versions in particular, with their elaborate emission control and characteristic bumpers, are much sought after today.

One of a kind – home again from the USA
Our 380 SL is truly one of a kind: as a US model it spent its first decades under the American sun before returning home to Germany. What makes it special: the body has never been welded – an extremely rare condition for a car of this age. In a loving, expert restoration it was carefully refurbished without destroying its original patina. Every scar, every glint of light on the silver metallic tells its own story. This car thus combines the charm of a globetrotter with the authenticity of a genuine witness to its era.
Mercedes-Benz W124 Cabriolet
The W124 Cabriolet (1991–1997) is regarded as one of the last truly solidly built Mercedes convertibles – a four-seater with timeless elegance and the legendary quality that made the W124 an icon. While the SL is the sporty two-seater, the W124 Cabriolet offers room for the whole family and combines the pleasure of open-top driving with everyday comfort. This car, too, has been lovingly restored and is available on request for special outings.
