Mercedes-Benz 380 SL
W107 Series · Classic Car Rental at Schloss Gültz
Cruise through the Mecklenburg Lake District in a legendary Mercedes-Benz roadster, across the islands of Rügen and Usedom to the Baltic coast – an unforgettable experience in a historic setting.
A Car with Character
The Mercedes-Benz 380 SL (W107) is one of the most elegant roadsters ever to leave Stuttgart. With its confident V8 engine, timelessly beautiful design and comfortable suspension, it embodies automotive culture at the highest level. Our car has been lovingly restored and carries historic H-plates.
A Piece of Automotive History
In spring 1971, Mercedes-Benz presented the R107 series SL – the third SL generation. Unlike its predecessor, the W113 "Pagoda" built since 1963 with its rounded forms still hinting at post-war opulence, the R107 was distinctly more angular and matter-of-fact, defining the Mercedes design language of the seventies. It was built in Sindelfingen for a remarkable 18 years – a total of 237,287 cars left the factory by 1989.
The W107 was also ahead of its time technically: defined crumple zones, a stable A-pillar, and an interior focused on occupant protection. The 380 SL arrived in 1980 as a new model – its 3.8-litre aluminium V8 (M116) with 218 hp replaced the 350 SL. The US versions in particular, with their elaborate emissions systems and characteristic bumpers, are especially sought after today.

A Unique Specimen – Returned from America
Our 380 SL is a true one-of-a-kind: As a US-spec model, it spent its first decades under American sun before returning home to Germany. What makes it special: the body is completely unwelded – an extremely rare condition for a car of this age. Through loving, expert restoration it was carefully refurbished without destroying its original patina. Every mark, every reflection of light on the silver metallic tells its own story. This car combines globetrotting automotive charm with the authenticity of a genuine witness to history.
Mercedes-Benz W124 Cabriolet
The W124 Cabriolet (1991–1997) is considered one of the last truly solidly built Mercedes convertibles – a four-seater with timeless elegance and the legendary quality that made the W124 an icon. While the SL is the sporty two-seater, the W124 Cabriolet offers space for the whole family, combining open-top pleasure with everyday comfort. This car has also been lovingly restored and is available on request for special drives.
