Some places need no decoration – because they are themselves the finest ornament. The Mirror Hall of Schloss Gültz is such a place: 156 square metres of sky-blue stucco, gilded mirrors, chandeliers and a ceiling height of 6.80 metres. Since 1872 it has been the stage for the great celebrations of the house – and perhaps soon for yours.
The Mirror Hall – a ballroom straight out of a fairy tale
When the building officer (Baurath) Georg Daniel designed the Mirror Hall on behalf of Helmuth Freiherr von Maltzahn, he created a room that remains unrivalled to this day. Its proportions are balanced: the ceiling height makes the room feel generous without being cold. The sky blue of the stucco conveys lightness, while the gilded frames and mirrors bring warmth.

Your wedding at the manor – a day to remember
Imagine: the ceremony in the Mirror Hall as the afternoon light falls through the tall windows. The champagne reception in the Lenné park beneath magnolias and plane trees. The wedding dinner by candlelight, with the chandeliers sparkling above you. And as the sun sets, the first dance in one of the most beautiful ballrooms in the region.
For your wedding photos, Schloss Gültz offers a backdrop no photo studio could ever recreate: the coffered hall with its columns, the sweeping staircase, the Botanical Salon with its historic wallpaper, the library with its original shelving – and, of course, the extensive manor park with its ponds and avenues.
What we offer
Every wedding at Schloss Gültz is unique. We hire out the Mirror Hall and the adjoining rooms to you exclusively – you decide on catering, music and the running order. On request, we can arrange:
- A tour of the manor house for your guests
- Overnight stays in the glamping area for the wedding party (season May–October)
- A classic car ride in the Mercedes-Benz 380 SL
- Personal support from the lord of the manor
Civil and celebrant-led ceremonies at the manor
Celebrant-led ceremonies are possible at any time in the Mirror Hall and in the park. We will gladly clarify with you whether the responsible registry office will also conduct weddings at the manor – please get in touch early.
Location and getting here
Schloss Gültz lies between the Mecklenburg Lake District and the Baltic Sea, 25 km from Neubrandenburg, 45 minutes from the Baltic coast and 150 km from Berlin. There is ample parking for your guests right at the manor.
