Schloss Gültz is a 99-room Historismus manor house, built 1868–1872 by Kreisbaurath Georg Daniel for the Freiherren von Maltzahn-Gültz, surrounded by a 15-hectare park influenced by Peter Joseph Lenné. It is a listed building of national significance in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – and it is being brought back to life, piece by piece, by its current owner.

We are not a hotel chain. We are not a heritage fund. We are a small, committed team with a very large building and a very clear vision. The person we are looking for is not primarily someone who carries out tasks. It is someone who shares the mission.

• Technical building care: monitoring heating, water, electrics; first response to faults; coordination with tradespeople
• Park care: mowing, hedges, paths, pond edge, tree monitoring – in cooperation with specialist gardeners
• Guest reception: welcoming glamping guests, motorhome arrivals, tour groups and film crews
• Restoration support: assisting craftsmen, logistics, material procurement
• Events: setup/breakdown for weddings, concerts, film shoots
• Motorhome pitch operation: welcoming guests, checking in, electricity connection, grey water
• Documentation: photo and text documentation of restoration progress

• Craftsmanship in at least one trade: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry – all welcome
• Genuine interest in historic buildings: you do not need to be an expert, but you must care
• Independent and reliable: we are a small operation; you will often be responsible
• Warm with guests: our guests are paying for an extraordinary experience; you represent that experience
• Driving licence (Class B): essential
• German language: good spoken German required; additional languages an advantage
• Vision over routine: we need someone who asks "how can we do this better?" not "is this really my job?"

Schloss Gültz is a building in active restoration. Not everything is finished. Not everything is clean. Not every day goes according to plan. We need someone who finds that exciting, not exhausting. If you are looking for a neat workplace with clear job descriptions and regular hours, this is not the right place.
